Bridal Extravaganza Show Guide:
Tips On Getting The Most Out Of Your Experience

So you’ve got the ring, you’ve got your bridesmaids, you’ve got your mom and grandma in tow, and you’ve got the tickets to the show. Now what do you do? Here are a few simple tips to really help to maximize your time and experience at The Bridal Extravaganza.

1. Have A Game Plan
Bridal Extravaganza can be overwhelming for the unprepared bride. There are 100’s of vendors that offer a variety of services from DJ’s down to dental hygiene. So how do you decipher between what is a want versus a need for your wedding? It’s very simple. Do a little prep work before the show. Make a list of what vendors you need for your big day i.e. DJ’s, Caterers, Florist, Photographers, and Wedding Venue.

2. Research Some Vendors
There are a lot of vendors out there, but figuring out who the true professional is very simple. Ask Mr. Google! I guarantee if you Google the type of vendor you are looking for and add Houston, TX behind it, those top 3 results will most likely be at the show. Look at their websites and read some of their reviews to help you narrow down which ones you want to visit. Reviews are the best way to really find out if the vendor you’re looking for is a true professional and can back up the promises they made. Then on the big day, look at the map handed out at the door to plot a course of who to go by and say hello to.

3. Have A List Of Questions
Booking a reliable vendor is a very important decision for the success of your wedding. Go into this show with a clear vision of what you want your big day to look like and find the perfect vendor by asking questions to see if they can bring that vision to life. Having a set of questions is a great way to make a personal connection with a vendor. Look for someone, who after interviewing them, really gets you excited about their service and puts your mind at ease that your wedding will go off without a hitch. So here are some sample questions relating to booking your DJ that may be helpful.
A. Besides DJ’ing what other services do you provide? i.e. up-lighting, custom monogram lighting, dance floor lighting, photo booth, day of event coordinating, and custom introductions
B. Do you provide Master of Ceremonies services?
C. Do you provide sound for the ceremony?
D. Do you bring backup equipment?
E. Are you insured?
F. Are you a member of any professional associations?
G. Will I meet my DJ before my wedding?
H. Are you offering any show specials?

Most Important Question To Ask: How will you make my wedding unforgettable?

4. Don’t Feel Pressured To Purchase Anything
There a lot of big decisions to be made about your wedding. Go into the show with the attitude of going to exclusively meet vendors. Be wary of the people that tell you that “This offer is only good today!”. Finding the right vendor should be about making a personal connection with the person and not a rushed decision. If you find someone that you have truly connected with, give them your information and inquire about having a sit down meeting to discuss your vision and finding the right package that will fit your needs.

5. Have Fun
This show can be a great experience and a ton of fun. Go in there with a game plan but don’t forget to enjoy yourself. Remember that this is your special time and that stressing will not help the experience. So grab some food samples, get a glass of champagne and celebrate the fact that you are getting married.
